Trinity Global Institute (TGI) welcomes aspiring nurses who are committed to excellence, integrity, and compassionate care. Admission to our nursing programs is competitive and selective to ensure quality education and outcomes. These requirements apply to our Practical Nursing (PN) and Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) programs. Please review the following eligibility criteria and requirements before applying.

General Eligibility

To be considered for admission:

• Applicants must be 18 years or older
• Must hold a High School Diploma or GED
• Must complete an Orientation Course before enrolling in any nursing course

Application Requirements

All applicants must:

• Submit a completed application and pay a non-refundable application fee of $100
• Provide official transcripts
• Schedule and attend a personal interview with the Program Director
• Submit a signed Enrollment Agreement
• Pay a non-refundable registration fee of $300.00

Entrance Exam

Applicants must successfully pass the HESI A2 or an equivalent nursing entrance exam (maximum 3 attempts per calendar year). Minimum passing scores:

Background and Health Screening

Before admission is finalized, students must:

• Pass a Level II Criminal Background Check
• Submit results from a 12-Panel Drug Screening Test
• Complete a TB Test (PPD test or Chest X-ray)

Clinical Rotation Requirements

Before beginning clinical rotations, students must provide:

• A Medical Report confirming good health
• Negative TB results within the past 6 months (PPD) or chest X-ray within the past year
• Proof of Immunizations, including:
  • Polio
  • Tetanus
  • Hepatitis B (series)
  • Varicella (Chickenpox)
  • Influenza (during flu season)
